Research methods - theoretical analysis of the processes that determine the characteristics of hydrostatic transmission type GST-90, methods of mathematical modeling using the fundamental laws of hydraulics, hydromechanics and theoretical mechanics. Performing numerical, physical experiments and computer simulations. A review of known designs of rotary piston pumps and their control systems has been made. A mathematical model of the operation of a hydrostatic transmission has been developed, which includes a subsystem of an axial piston pump and a hydraulic motor, consists of equations for the continuity of working fluid flows and equations for force factors acting on the elements of the system. As a result of the research, results were obtained, the analysis of which made it possible to propose an improved design of the hydrostatic transmission pump.
