The purpose of scientific work is the theoretical justification and development of methodological and scientific-practical recommendations for improving the mechanism of ensuring the safety of ecosystems in terms of sustainable development. In the process of research work on "Formation of a mechanism for ensuring the safety of ecosystems in terms of sustainable development" used a number of theoretical and empirical methods, including: systemic and integrated approach; factor analysis; statistical and economic; graphic method; bioindication and biotesting methods as part of biomonitoring; methods of direct observation and experiment; methods of direct interviews, interviews and questionnaires. The results of the study of ecological safety of ecosystems in conditions of sustainable development are presented in the scientific works of teachers of the Department of Environmental Management and Environmental Protection, which are introduced into the practice of teaching a block of disciplines, during the internship of students in various institutions and organizations; performance of qualification works. The result is the development of categorical apparatus for ecological safety of ecosystems in sustainable development, publication of a collection of materials of the All-Ukrainian scientific-practical conference of students, graduate students and young scientists of Mariupol “Ecology, nature management and environmental protection: applied aspects”. The results of research have been implemented in scientific and methodological publications, including: in 4 monographs (or sections in monographs), 5 scientific articles (professional publications and publications are included in the list of international scientometric databases: 2 of Scopus and 1 of Web on science, foreign publications); 40 conference abstracts.
