The object of research is the drive and working bodies of mowers. The subject of the study is the influence of diagnostic methods and tools on reliability indicators. The mower operation was simulated using software. The processing of experimental data, as well as a qualitative assessment of the process, were carried out using the methods of mathematical statistics and probability theory. Today, agriculture needs more efficient and productive units to perform a variety of operations. There is an acute problem in the timely collection of plant mass for the livestock industry. Therefore, our scientists, collaborating with foreign experts, are increasingly thinking about improving mowers. It is important that the improvement of the design requires a significant amount of metal and the power of the power unit. To solve this issue, it is necessary to conduct a detailed analysis of the units for mowing plants and determine the most optimal operating parameters. In recent years, flexible technologies have begun to dominate in foreign fodder production, ensuring high efficiency of fodder harvesting with minimal loss of nutrients during storage. To implement such technologies, technical means have been developed that are characterized by high productivity, high-quality execution of the technological process, multifunctionality and automation. After analyzing the methods of diagnosing, the method of vibrodiagnostics was chosen as the most appropriate for further research. Vibration diagnostics can be carried out on the job.
