Objective: to study the possibility of observing in the spectra of energy losses of excitation electrons of an organic molecule due to their resonant interaction with localized plasmons of a nanoparticle or nano shell. A quantum-mechanical model of inelastic electron scattering on a system consisting of an organic molecule and a silver spherical nanoshell is constructed. The spectra of energy losses of electrons during scattering on this system are calculated and analyzed. The main contribution to the enhancement of the excitation of the molecule is made by the plasmon mode, which roughly corresponds to the oscillations of the charge on the outer surface of the shell. The spectra are dominated by forward scattering of the electron. It is shown that the resonant interaction between the excitations of the molecule and the localized plasmons of the silver nanoshell leads to a significant increase in the probability of excitation of the molecule.
