Mechnikov National University popup.description2 There was developed the novel synthesis strategy for creation of the low-toxic drugs with the wide range of pharmacological activity on the basis of new biocoordination heterometallic mixed-ligand compounds. This was achieved by the variation of biologically active units: representatives of metal ions of s-, p-, d-electronic blocks, organic chelating agents of acidic and basic nature, ways of their joint structural organization. There was obtained a number of low-toxic Ge(IV), Sn(IV) coordination compounds of essential metals iron, cobalt, cobalt, nickel, copper, zinc with complexones, hydroxycarboxylic acids, hydrazides, heterocyclic amines, hydrazones, sulfenamides and so on. There was developed a novel synthetic method for the creation of homo- and heterometallic, mixed-ligand, supramolecular salts of complex acids. Their full physico-chemical characteristics, structural organization and its connection with different types of pharmacological activity (analgesic, cerebroprotective, antidepressant, neurotropic, anti-inflammatory, antiviral, antimicrobial) were established. Screening of the novel compounds showed their activity as effectors for enzymes, the connection between their composition, structure, properties and the types of their biological activity was established.
