Vernadsky National Library of Ukraine popup.description2 The object of research is the activity of the Vernadsky National Library of Ukraine as a research institute that provides theoretical research, creation and implementation of scientific digital library and information resources in the national information space. The purpose of the study is to summarize the accumulated experience, identify new challenges due to the growth and diversification of information needs in science, education and culture, reveal potential opportunities of library services identified by the rapid progress of information technologies. Modern forms of digital scientific communication related to the development of new information architecture and semantic web technologies based on open access, open data and open standards are studied. The role and directions of research, library-information and information-analytical activity of the national library in the formation of the research infrastructure of Ukraine are determined. An important result of the study is the improvement of the theory and practice of scientific communication and the involvement of new intellectually processed information in scientific and cultural circulation, the use of multifaceted electronic resources on the Internet. As part of the implementation of the information architecture of the scientific digital platform "ResearchUA" an interface for integrated search of scientific information resources NBUV (historical and modern) in a single window and works on creating authoritative files of scientific institutions and scientists of Ukraine to improve search for sources of scientific information developed were developed. The informational architecture of the Library Portal of the NAS of Ukraine "LibNAS UA" was developed and Principles and Regulations of "LibNAS UA" were submitted for approval by the Presidium of the NAS of Ukraine.
