The developed composite material will differ from analogs by its enhanced high-temperature strength and the passivation effect under oxidation, which will make it possible to increase several times its service life under conditions of thermocycling at high temperatures. popup.description2  The purpose of the first stage of work is to explore modern advances in the field of high-temperature materials and technologies that can be applied in the manufacturing of high temperature heaters (1700 - 1800) ºC. Basing on the review of current state in developing new heat-resistant materials with high properties obtained by studying the scientific literature and patent information, international organizations and companies have been identified in the following research interest areas: - alloying molybdenum disilicide with metals such as Ti, Hf , V, Nb, Ta, Cr, W, Re as well as Al and Ge to improve the mechanical properties at both low and high temperatures; - developing composite powders based on molybdenum disilicide by adding refractory compounds: non-metallic (Al2O3, ZrO2, SiC, Si3N4) and transition metals (MoB, TiC) to achieve the disperse strengthening of disilicides and improve physical and mechanical properties at low temperature conditions.
