The goal is to create a hybrid of intensive corn for irrigation conditions in the south of Ukraine. Research methods - analysis, synthesis, experiments were conducted in the field of field experiments. Methods of hybridization, inbreeding, artificial selections with the study of combinatorial ability were used. Resistance to disease was studied. The mobilization of new source material was carried out, selections, testing of families and lines were carried out. Crossbreeding of promising parental forms was carried out, among them parental components with high productive and adaptive potential, the best combining ability for further involvement in crossbreeding were identified. Based on the results of selection work, 2 innovative parental components were created and prepared for formal and qualification examination: germ-plasm Lancaster HN-21-16, Mixed germ-plasm HN-22-16. A hybrid of ordinary corn has been created: the middle-late hybrid Mirnyi (FAO 420). The level of profitability was shown from 148 to 170%. Due to the increase in corn grain yield, the additional conditionally net profit will be 43.25-48.45 thousand hryvnias per hectare Product Description popup.authors Vozhehova Raisa А.
