ROLLING STOCK EFFICIENCY ASSESSMENT. The object of the research is the organization of passenger transport socio-economic system management at the municipal level. The aim of the research is to develop an effective mechanism for management and efficient use of motor transport enterprise rolling stock in the system of urban passenger transport. The theoretical and practical significance of the study is to apply a systematic approach to urban passenger transport management and develop on its basis methods of passenger transport management at the municipal level, which contributes to the validity and effectiveness of managerial decisions. The following methods are used in the research: the methods of system and cognitive analysis; situational modeling; graph theory; probability theory; the theory of decision making; and statistical analysis. Microsoft Excel is used to study the criteria of choosing travel means by the population. The research presents theoretical and methodological provision and practical recommendations for improving the mechanism to assess motor transport enterprises rolling stock efficiency, the main purpose of which is urban passenger transport implementation. The research work is commissioned by PE "Sheriff", therefore the results are used in their economic activity. The results of the research can be used in strategic planning, to manage the transport companies market as well as in information and expert systems for planning, organization and analysis of urban passenger transport systems.
