The purpose of work is to select assortment of plants, to investigate features of processes of adaptation of plants in cultural phytocenoses of the region. The following methods were used - ecological research, physiological-biochemical, morphological and methods of primary data processing (basic statistics, analysis of variance). Ecological and physiological criteria of resistance of aboriginal and introduced plant species to the conditions of the region and the range of resistant plants are determined. The results of the work are of scientific significance for the selection of the range of plants in the botanical gardens of the region, for horticulture and agriculture, for educational activities and educational work.
