The aim of the work is to develop educational and methodological support for disciplines in the history of Ukraine and of the Ukrainian culture history. Research methods: source heuristics, external and internal scientific criticism of historical documents; historiographical criticism, systems analysis, synchronous and diachronic analysis, historical-typological method, database technologies. Results and their novelty: the study deepens the understanding of a number of topics of spiritual, cultural and social history of Ukraine, in particular the socio-ethnocultural processes in the Ukrainian part of the Eurasian front during the XV–XVIII c.; social and legal aspects of relations between the population of Southern Ukraine and the authorities in the second third of the XVIII c. – the first half of the XIX c.; terminological clarification of the definitions of historical and geographical boundaries of Ukrainian state territories in the XVIII – early XX c.; essence of ethno-national processes and interethnic relations in the Ukrainian Dnipro region of the end of the XVIII – beginning of the XX c.; the role of personalities of the Ukrainian movement in the national history of the mid-XIX – early XX c.; psychohistorical aspects of Mykhaylo Hrushevskyʼs scientific work; aspects of the history of everyday life of the inhabitants of the Dnipropetrovsk region in the conditions of traumatic events of the late 1920s – early 1930s; socio-demographic characteristics of mortality of the population of the Dnipropetrovsk region during the Holodomor of 1932–1933; socio-historical characteristics of the Resistance Movement to the Nazi occupation regime in the Dnipropetrovsk region in 1941–1943.
