The purpose of the work is a theoretical and methodological analysis of innovative pedagogical activities, principles, content and factors of formation of life-creating competence of the student. Research methods - analysis of educational and professional training programs for higher education in the specialty 016-Special education, concepts, textbooks and manuals, monographs, dissertations, articles and materials of scientific conferences devoted to the problem of research, systematization and generalization of different approaches to the definition basic research concepts, conversations with teachers and students, questionnaires, self-assessment. The structure and content of the concept of "life competence" are analyzed; methods, techniques and means of formation and development of life-creating competence of the student; implemented principles, conditions and factors of innovative pedagogical activity for the formation of key competencies in students of each level. The novelty of the work lies in the use of a systematic methodology of problem analysis and synthesis of projective solutions; the theoretical model of formation of life-creating competence of the student is developed; analysis and identification of the most effective forms, methods and techniques of training to promote the formation of a set of general and professional competencies as part of life-creating competence. The results of GDR are introduced in DNU when teaching courses "Pedagogy with the basics of scientific research", "Special pedagogy with the history of science", "Fundamentals of pedagogical skills", "Higher school pedagogy", "Innovative technologies of speech therapy".
