The object of research is the process of application of the communicative method of teaching foreign language of professional orientation in the system of language training of the personnel of the Ukrainian Armed Forces. The results of research are implemented in the process of developing textbooks for learning foreign (English) language for cadets of different specializations on the basis of the communicative method in the system of language teaching of the personnel of the Land Forces of the Armed Forces of Ukraine and their approbation in practical classes with cadets of the Hetman Petro Sahaidachnyi National Army Academy and students of foreign language courses that are available in the National academy, as well as during formulating guidelines for the use of textbooks in the educational process.
