Parameters of the structure and the sequence of bunches were chosen so that the transformation ratio increased monotonically with the number of bunches; namely - with increasing number of bunches the total accelerating wakefield increases and the retarding field for all bunches was equally small. The frequency of the bunches determined by the linac “Almas-2” remains the same fm = 2.805 GHz, and the geometry of the dielectric structure changes in such a way (a = 2.93 cm, b = 4.19 cm,  = 2, 045) that the eigenwavelength  , excited by bunches, together with the length of the bunch Lb was equal to the distance between the bunches L =  + Lb. An analytical theory is elaborated and numerical simulation of the wakefield excitation in a plasma-dielectric waveguide structure by a non-resonant sequence of electron bunches is carried out. The sequence of electron bunches linearly profiled by charge is experimentally realized. The dielectric structure is calculated and fabricated that satisfies the above conditions. In the experiment, the microwave field of the excited wakewave is measured. Product Description popup.authors Galaydych Konstantin Viktorovich Linnik Anatolij Fedorovich Onishchenko Ivan M.
