Karazin Kharkiv National University popup.description2  This work analyzed the structure of the incidence of myasthenia gravis in Kharkiv and Kharkiv region and the clinical data of the studied groups with myasthenia gravis. It was studied the macroscopic features of the thymus of patients with myasthenia gravis and patients of the control groups. It was compared the histological, histochemical, cytophotometric, immunohistochemical, morphometric parameters of the thymus of patients with myasthenia gravis and patients of control groups. Indicators of cellular and humoral immunity in the blood of patients of control groups and patients with myasthenia gravis before and after thymectomy were studied. Postoperative follow-up 1 year after thymectomy performed in patients with generalized myasthenia gravis was analyzed. The obtained data are included in the methodical recommendations for independent students work for “General Pathomorphology” and “Systemic Pathomorphology” topics. The teaching of the disciplines “Histology, Cytology and Embryology”, “Pathomorphology”, “Pathophysiology” has been improved by using the data obtained during the research. The main results of the research are covered in 2 articles and introduced into the educational process of the General and Clinical Pathology Department of the Medical School of V.N. Karazin Kharkiv National University and the Pathological Anatomy Department of Kharkiv Medical Academy of Postgraduate Education to improve the teaching of “Histology, cytology and embryology”, “Pathological Anatomy”, “Pathological Physiology”, as well as in the practical work of the thoracic department of the State Institution “V.T.
