The following methods of scientific knowledge were used in the work: system analysis – to find tasks for building a management accounting system of IT enterprises; economic and statistical analysis, sample survey – to determine the impact of IT services on their accounting; data grouping method – to determine the impact of features of IT companies’ activities on the organization of management accounting; methods of scientific abstraction and generalization – to classify the risks of IT companies and determine the core competencies of accountants in the IT industry; comparative method – to compare pricing models which are the most commonly used in IT in terms of project cost calculation; graphic and tabular methods – for visual presentation of research results in the form of tables, figures, etc. There were developed theoretical and methodological provisions and practical recommendations for improving the organization and methods of accounting and analysis for IT companies, including the development of risk classification from the standpoint of outlining accounting and analytical support for their management in order to build a management accounting system in IT companies.
