The subject of the research is the analysis of dialectal peculiarities of the northern Ukrainian dialect on the basis of available and newly published texts of different times. The purpose of the study: Comprehensive and thorough study of the formation and development of the Polissya dialect. Research and publication of written monuments of the XI-XVIII centuries. Research methods: descriptive, comparative-historical, linguistic-geographical, comparative. Results and their novelty: new factual material on Ukrainian writing was published and put into scientific circulation. Linguistic maps of dialectal phenomena in diachrony were proposed for the first time. The results are covered in published books of monuments of Ukrainian literature, monographs, textbooks, articles. Characteristics of research results: collected and published materials will supplement the card index of the Consolidated Dictionary of Polissya dialects, expand the factual basis for studying the Polissya dialect, materials of written monuments will be the basis for writing textbooks and historical dictionaries of the Ukrainian language. Significance and practical application of the study: the importance of the study is determined by the urgent need not only to introduce into scientific circulation of new written monuments, but also to rethink belonging to the written tradition of existing and traditionally treated as "East Slavic", "All-Russian" or "Russian" ; the results of the research should be introduced into the educational process of educational institutions of Ukraine. Scope: humanities, in particular Ukrainian studies, compilation of lexicographical works; educational process, in particular writing textbooks, manuals on dialectology and history of the Ukrainian language.
