THERMOELECTRICITY, COOLING, GENERATION, ELECTRIC CONDUCTIVITY, THERMOEMF, THERMAL CONDUCTIVITY, FIGURE OF MERIT, AUTOMATION The object of research is methods for determining the parameters of thermoelectric materials forming part of thermoelectric power converters. The purpose of the work is to create high-precision methods and measuring equipment for the study of thermoelectric materials forming part of thermoelectric power converters - generator modules and cooling modules, as well as to measure the parameters of thermoelectric modules as a whole. Research methods: methods of mathematical physics; methods of computer object-oriented modeling of heat and electricity transfer processes, in particular, in thermoelectric media; experimental methods of thermophysics; error theory. As a result of the project, a method was developed for determining the properties of thermoelectric material forming part of thermoelectric cooling modules - thermoEMF, electrical conductivity, thermal conductivity and figure of merit of a pair of thermoelectric legs. The conditions for minimizing possible errors of the developed technique have been established and an experimental sample of equipment for measuring the parameters of thermoelectric cooling modules in the temperature range from -50 to 100°C has been made. A technique for determining the properties of the material as part of thermoelectric generator modules and the design of equipment based on it have been developed. An experimental sample of equipment has been made with a working temperature range from 30°C to 600°C.
