These include: implementation of power consumption management and energy storage systems, ensuring accurate forecasting of the schedule of consumer demand for energy consumption and RES output power. As part of solving these problems, an analysis of promising energy storage technologies was carried out, also there were created a methodology for determining the optimal locations of energy storage facilities as well as new mathematical models of battery operation modes and forecasting the output power of RES. Practical recommendations have been developed on the use of energy storage systems and the involvement of consumers to ensure power balancing in power systems in accordance with the requirements of European grid codes. A standard has been prepared for implementation in Ukraine that establishes requirements for renewable energy facilities and energy storage facilities intended for parallel connection to distribution networks. The results of the work will be implemented in the field of electric power industry to improve the reliability and efficiency of the operation of energy systems with renewable energy sources.
