The chemical composition and physical and mechanical properties of fine lime waste of Lviv region have been investigated. The kinetics of decarbonization processes of lime waste samples was experimentally studied. The influence of impurities and mineralogical composition on the efficiency of the decarbonization process and the quality of the finished product is studied. Based on the obtained experimental data, a kinetic model of the annealing process of fine raw materials in a nonstationary temperature field was created. The technological scheme of lime waste processing is developed on the basis of theoretical and experimental researches. An efficient design of the decarbonizer apparatus for solid phase treatment of a wide fractional composition of limestones is proposed. The hydrodynamics of the proposed apparatus, thermal and reaction modes of processing the dispersed material were studied by numerical modeling methods and the efficiency of the proposed design was evaluated. The optimal modes of technological process are determined. The technique of engineering calculation of the created device is developed.
