The first line of defense for GUCH women of childbearing age is the primary prevention of major cardiac events, namely preconception counseling on the basis of specialized expert centers and its pre-pregnancy preparation for pregnancy, including with cardiac surgery followed by its multidisciplinary support at all stages of pregnancy, childbirth, the postpartum period. Optimal support of pregnant women with congenital cardiac pathology requires multidisciplinary cooperation of specialists from expert centers. For the first time in Ukraine, methods of effective comprehensive diagnosis and treatment of cardiac pathology in women of childbearing age have been proposed, including during pregnancy and the postpartum period with a clear definition of the stages of multidisciplinary care and optimal methods of surgical correction.
