In addition, more than 70% of coal seams contain significant concentrations of methane, and gas emissions into the atmosphere, despite its value as an alternative energy source, reaches 10 billion m3, part of which can be used to develop industrial infrastructure. The project synthesizes and combines innovative technologies of coal mining from thin coal seams with underground gasification with a significant reduction in its losses in the subsoil and the conversion of associated methane gas into hydrate with subsequent transportation in special plants, forming a single technology for maximum extraction of energy. improving the socio-economic and environmental condition of industrial regions of Ukraine. The optimal methods of coal gasification and hydrogen production based on coal mines are proposed with the justification of their parameters, which allows processing coal reserves in-situ to obtain power, heat energy and chemical raw materials, based on energy and chemical markets.
