New theories were created, explanations of experimental data were proposed, and predictive calculations were performed. In particular, the mechanism of energy transfer by Alfven waves across the magnetic field in the toroidal plasma is explored; the equation of the quasilinear theory with a wide resonance domain is derived; features of Landau damping in stellarators are revealed, excitation of axially symmetric Alfven modes by plasma microturbulence has been studied; it was found that Spatial Channeling (SC) of energy of thermonuclear alpha particles can lead to improvement of plasma parameters; it is established that the SC can influence the properties of Alfven eigenmodes. The developed spatial channeling theory was used to interpret experiments with deuterium-tritium plasma in the largest tokamak JET (EU and Great Britain) and in the optimized Wendelstein 7-X stellarator. The scenario of ion-cyclotron resonant heating with shifted separatrix (ICRH-SS) with improved energy ion content is proposed. It is shown that the horizontal polarization of plasma by electron cyclotron heating (ECRH) opens the way to the elimination of Alfven modes in tokamaks without reducing the amount of energetic ions that excite these modes. The influence of the electric field on the stochastic diffusion of energetic ions in quasi-isodynamic stelarators has been studied. The energy distributions of ions during pulsed injection of jets of neutral atoms have been studied. The predominant majority of the obtained results have been published in leading international scientific journals.
