The purpose of the study is to scientifically substantiate and test the method of teaching students the basics of safety and health on the basis of subject-subject interaction. New scientific results have been obtained on the use of subject-subject interaction in teaching students the basics of safety and health. For the first time, the data of the questionnaire on the relevance of safety and health issues in modern applicants for higher education were analyzed. Methodological approaches and innovative technologies in teaching the basics of safety and health are proposed; methods of teaching on the basis of subject-subject interaction of persons with special educational needs were detalised. The provisions on the use of the health component in the use of the potential of classroom and extracurricular activities have been further developed. For the first time, approaches to health care in higher education institutions in the classroom and extracurricular activities in the activities of curators of academic groups. The results of research proved the effectiveness of teaching students on the basis of subject-subject interaction and were embodied in the educational process in updating and improving courses taught at the Department of Human Health and Civil Security of Odessa Mechnikov National University.
