The aim of the research work is to reveal the theoretical foundations and improve the methodological provisions for overcoming fiscal challenges and asymmetries in Ukraine in the context of the transformation of public finances. Research methods. Both general and special research methods were used to solve the tasks and achieve the goal of the research, in particular: methods of analysis and synthesis, induction and deduction; theoretical generalization; comparative method; abstraction and generalization; graphic method and method of comparisons; historical and logical method; terminological analysis; abstraction and formalization. The information base of the study is the scientific works of domestic and foreign scientists, materials of scientific and practical conferences, regulations of Ukraine, official materials of the State Statistics Service of Ukraine, State Tax Service of Ukraine, State Customs Service of Ukraine, Ministry of Finance of Ukraine, reference and information publications, Internet -resources, own empirical research. The scientific novelty of the obtained results lies in the further development of theoretical and scientific-methodological provisions that determine the directions of formation and implementation of the strategy of overcoming fiscal challenges and asymmetries in Ukraine in the transformation of public finances. The practical significance of the results obtained.
