A comparative analysis is performed and the advantages of certain types of X-ray sources for the realization of phase contrast are shown, in particular by the free propagation method. A series of technical operations and calculations were performed to optimize the X-ray phase contrast channel of the Institute of Applied Physics of the NAS of Ukraine in order to implement experiments over the study of test objects by free propagation method. As a result, the intensity of the source is increased fivefold. Software for image reconstruction in multi-channel X-ray detectors with optically coupled partial images was developed, which included the implementation of algorithms for primary calibration of optical systems of multi-channel X-ray detectors, search for correction matrix coefficients to account for tangential and radial distortions of optical modulations of brightness of the multichannel image. The physical and technical aspects of X-ray computed tomography have been studied. Mathematical bases of reconstruction of tomographic images according to projections and features of restoration of X-ray phase-contrast images are studied.
