The subject of the research is multi-vector professional training of future specialists in the field of culture and art, music pedagogy. The purpose of the study: to develop theoretical and methodological principles of professional training of future specialists in music and performing arts by means of art education. Research methods: theoretical: induction and deduction, content analysis, comparison and classification, modeling and design; empirical methods, statistical method; formal and stylistic analysis of works of art, method of hermeneutics and descriptive method. Results and their novelty: in the presented research, performed from the standpoint of modern areas of music pedagogy and art history, a number of results were obtained: 2) generalized and systematized the main theoretical and methodological developments in the field of art and art education; 3) a number of innovations in the system of training of art education students are highlighted; 4) the systems of development of professional competencies of applicants are substantiated; 5) the effectiveness of the introduction of educational innovations in the system of their preparation is revealed.
