The purpose of research work is a comprehensive and substantiated study of the regulation of legal aspects of social protection of the population of Ukraine, in particular the category of internally displaced persons. The methodological basis of the work are general scientific and special scientific methods. Their use is determined by a systematic approach, which makes it possible to explore problems in the unity of their social content and legal form. Theoretical and practical results: the inconsistency of the legislation of Ukraine on social services with the provisions of the Law of Ukraine "On Ensuring the Rights and Freedoms of Internally Displaced Persons" and the need to approve the State Standard for Social Integration and Reintegration of Internally Displaced Persons; It is proposed to supplement the Law of Ukraine "On Ensuring the Rights and Freedoms of Internally Displaced Persons" with a separate article "Social Protection in the Sphere of Housing Relations", which provides for all forms of realization of the right of internally displaced persons to housing.
