The influence of the pulsed electromagnetic field on the increase of resistance to destruction of structural materials and welded joints has been studied. A mathematical model has been developed and the kinetics of the electrophysical parameters of the pulsed electromagnetic field of a flat inductor in its interaction with a flat sample of a non-ferromagnetic aluminum alloy AMg6 have been calculated. A method of increasing the efficiency of pulsed electromagnetic field treatment by installing a screen to form the optimal equivalent thickness to achieve the highest value of the electromagnetic pressure force is proposed. It was found that with OIEMP there is a significant decrease in the values ​​and magnitude of the residual shear stresses in the samples of welded joints of AMg6 alloy. It is established that OIEMP with shielding initiates the mechanisms of dispersion of the cast structure of the weld metal of the AMg6 alloy. Scientific provisions for the construction and improvement of thin-walled welded structures of the converted volume and technical solutions to ensure operational reliability and hydraulically tight joints in multi-section structures of the converted volume have been developed.
