The purpose of the study: to determine the impact of changes in values on economic orientations and behavior of the population of Ukraine. Main scientific and theoretical results: the main value components of the structure of economic consciousness are determined; the dynamics of value orientations of the population in the economic sphere has been analyzed for the last almost 25 years; the dominant value orientations of Ukrainians in the sphere of labor in comparison with the population of other European countries are determined; developed a theoretical model of the relationship of values, awareness and formation of economic assessments of the population; changes in values due to the participation of the population in the process of lifelong learning are identified. Main scientific and practical results: development of proposals for appropriate areas of public policy to strengthen public participation in lifelong learning; to stimulate the innovative development of the country by attracting large and medium-sized businesses in the field of university research, increase staff mobility between universities and businesses, promote student participation in business projects; to take into account in the state information policy the developed model of communication of values and public opinion in the process of formation of economic assessments of the population; introduction into scientific, scientific-practical and public circulation of the results of the 7th wave of the World Values Survey 2020.
