Mechnikov National University popup.description2  The colloid-chemical bases of processes of valuable components and ecotoxicants extraction (adsorption, flotation, flocculation) from multicomponent aqueous solutions and sewage are established. The principles of their carrying out are developed. The possibility and high efficiency of high molecular weight reagents (PVA, PAA) using for efficient extraction of anionic and nonionic surfactants from their mixed aqueous solutions and industrial enterprises wastewater has been experimentally established. A colloidal chemical model is proposed to describe the interaction of a mixture of two surfactants with low molecular weight alcohols. The possibility and efficiency of natural flocculants (chitosan, sodium alginate) using to clarify suspensions are shown. The fundamental possibility of lanthanides microflotoextraction extraction from solutions by finely emulsified extractants is shown. The use of new efficient sorbents for the extraction of surfactants, organic extractants, dyes, uranium, thorium and lanthanum compounds is proposed. The mechanism of lanthanum ions sorption on natural (kaolin, clinoptilolite) and industrial sorbents has been established; anionic dyes on natural biopolymers (barley straw, corn stalks) modified with hexadecylpyridinium bromide; uranium and thorium on nanocomposites and fibrous ion exchangers. A method of concentrating and purifying natural dyes (chokeberry and blackberry berries anthocyanins) from sugar by FIBAN K-1 ion exchange resin has been developed. High efficiency of uranium(VI) and thorium(IV) extraction by nanocomposites from solutions simulating mine and process waters of uranium mining and uranium processing enterprises was determined. This allowed to realize their complex purification from uranium, thorium and related ions.
