This is achieved by controlling the structure formation and properties of the weld metal and the heat-affected zone, increasing the plasticity of welded metals in high-strength steel joints by means of electrothermal induction treatment. Based on the results of the performed studies, a method for controlling the kinetics of structure formation in welded joints of carbon steels has been developed. It is based on regulating the level of homogeneity of austenite and the period of inertness of its decomposition and is realized due to high heating rates of the metal during welding, which make it possible to reduce the temperature interval of homogenization of austenite and the duration of the metal's residence in it.
