According to the results of experimental studies, the change in the parameters of acoustic signals in the process of accumulation of material damage is described. Informative parameters are determined and their distribution is investigated. Based on the research, a hypothesis has been formulated that shows that acoustic emission is a mirror image, i.e. an acoustic passport of the characteristics of materials that change during operation, and, in particular, their mechanical properties. The use of this hypothesis has been tested in practice and allows to predict the destructive load of the material without stopping operation and without the need for prior knowledge of the initial values of the mechanical properties of materials. The modified equipment and software of AE diagnostic systems such as EMA allows to obtain a forecast of destructive load, assess the degree of damage and determine the residual life of the material automatically using the proposed methodA normative document has been developed – DSTU "Technical diagnostics. Diagnosing the technical condition of construction materials. General requirements". The implementation of the results of the work will improve the procedure of AE diagnostics, increase the accuracy and reliability of determining the state of equipment of potentially dangerous industrial facilities of structures operating at temperatures up to 600 C.
