The alloy composition was selected in such a way as to ensure the equilibrium pressure of hydrogen over the metal hydride ~ 10 bar at room temperature. For this purpose, using published data on phase diagrams of binary Ge-La, La-Ni, and Ce-Ni systems, it has been calculated and selected chemical composition of the alloy with the desired operating characteristics. It was designed and built ternary diagram Ce-La-Ni.These features were taken into account in constructing variants of the projection of the liquidus in the section Mm-LaNi5 . Intermetallic alloy Mm0,65La0,35Ni4,45Al0,55 was used as the final working hydride-forming material. Composition of intermetallic alloy has been specifically designed to provide a satisfactory rate of sorption at a pressure of 0.2 MPa and a temperature of 313 K. The desorption pressure is 15.0 MPa was provided at a temperature of 453 K. This intermetallic alloy was prepared by the meltingof appropriate amounts misch metal, lanthanum, nickel, and aluminum in a controlled atmosphere, alloy isotherms were obtained. One of the main reasons for choosing intermetallicalloy based REM (rare earth metal)and doped by nickel and aluminum, was the stability of these materials in a steam atmosphere at elevated temperatures. This is due to the fact that hydrogen is supplied from the electrolytic cell has a sufficiently large moisture capacity. Cleaning system does not provide a special device, except for a static separator which provides removal of condensed moisture. Studies were conducted, which showed that the treatment of the developed material in water at reflux temperature for 30 minutes in air did not result in appreciable loss of its hydrogen storage capacity.
