Topicality of the work is based on the fact that PP and PLA have become accessible and widely-used both for industrial and home applications. PLA is also known for its environment-friendly and biocompatible properties, as well as for low shrinkage rate and high strength. But previous investigations do not give full picture of processes running in these materials during surfacing and FDM 3D printing. This makes necessary to develop surfacing regimes, especially for PLA FDM 3D printing, and to reveal the regularities of printing parameters effect on the structure and properties of 3D details made of commercial PLA filaments, and to develop new composite filaments for additive 3D formation of details with predicted properties. Research of one-layer surfacing is the basis. The following facts are established in the work: regularities of effect of parameters of one-layer extrusion welding and multi-layer 3D FDM printing (temperature of extruder’s die, layers thickness, printing head speed, simultaneous forming of few details within one cycle) on the properties of the end products. Results of investigations, applied to industrial products manufacturing, demonstrated high efficiency of the developed parameters, in particular for 3D printing.
