The purpose of the study is to develop methodological principles for identifying the assets of territorial communities, improving the mechanisms of their involvement and capitalization in the context of ensuring endogenous economic development of communities. Despite the reform of local self-government aimed at strengthening the capacity of territorial communities, the issue of identifying the assets of territorial communities and their effective use is ignored. Ways to increase the efficiency of using the assets of local communities are proposed: investing in human assets with the involvement of stakeholders of the local community; use of a dual approach to the management of natural assets of territorial communities; management of land assets of territorial communities in the conditions of opening the land market on the basis of assessment of available assets; formation of an effective policy for managing business assets of territorial communities and others. The change of the approach to management of assets of territorial communities in the conditions of armed aggression of the Russian Federation in Ukraine in the direction of strengthening of prevalence of public (state) interests over interests of communities and private persons is argued. According to the results of the research, 108 scientific works were published (176.84 da), including: 4 monographs, 2 scientific-analytical publications; 68 articles in scientific journals (including 3 articles in the publication included in the database Scopus, Web of Science, 13 articles - published in English abroad); 34 abstracts in conference proceedings. Based on the results of the research, scientific and analytical developments, proposals and recommendations were prepared and implemented in the practice of management at the national and regional levels, and 19 certificates of implementation were received.
