The goal is to promote the implementation of the state eco-policy of Ukraine on the territory of the city of Kyiv regarding the strengthening of the role of the environmental component in the planning system for assessing the socio-economic development of the city of Kyiv by determining and justifying the need to include environmental indicators in the current system for evaluating the effectiveness of the socio-economic development of the city of Kyiv and preparing proposals to the relevant draft decision of the Kyiv city government. Novelty: - a systematic, territorially comprehensive approach to determining the structure of environmental problems of the socio-economic development of the city, strategic directions for improving the current system of environmental indicators of the socio-economic development of the city of Kyiv is proposed; - the conceptual foundations and strategic directions of actions regarding the formation of an accessible system of environmental information for the population of the city of Kyiv were defined. Scope - the research results and scientific and practical recommendations are aimed at strengthening the role of the environmental component in the system of evaluating the effectiveness of the development of the city and the branches of the city economy by improving the mechanisms of information-analytical and regulatory support of the system of environmental planning on the territory of Kyiv in the process of implementing the powers of the Department of Urban Development and preservation of the natural environment of the executive body of the Kyiv City Council (Kyiv City State Administration).
