A list of 40 works published in 2017–21 based on research results is presented. The subject of the study was the monitoring of self-development of the main natural complexes of steppe ecosystems of the USNR branches of the NAS of Ukraine of different natural zones with different preservation regimes. The main purpose of the work was the protection of natural ecosystems and biota, development of floristic, phytocenotic and population bases of monitoring in the conditions of the preserved regime. These studies were based on ecological, biological, phytocenotic aspects of plants´ life. Theoretical generalizations of the received data will be the basis for development of the program of actions for preservation of natural steppe ecosystems in the conditions of reserve. The research was performed on the basis of methods of coenotic, phenological, zoological, climatic monitoring. The analysis of hydro-hydrogeo- and meteorological observations, the species dynamics of the fauna population and its species composition and spatial structure for some species of animals is presented. A chronological series of annual geobotanical descriptions on permanent trial plots is presented. The directions of change of plant associations on them are determined. A description of the phenoclimatic periodization of the natural year for the Northern Priazovye is given.
