The main types of spatial constraints for the oil and gas industry are compliance with sanitary protection zones of industrial facilities, coastal protection zones of reservoirs and watercourses, sanitary protection zones of water intakes and compliance with the requirements for protected areas. To assess the functional stability and quality of reclaimed soils, Ukrainian methodological approaches were applied. The analysis of the results showed that they do not provide an objective assessment of the quality of disturbed lands, since the proposed list of indicators that form the resulting calculation is insufficient and generalized, which does not meet the criteria of specificity of assessment for technogenically disturbed areas. To assess the functional stability of reclaimed soils, it is necessary to develop separate methodological approaches that would take into account the specifics of these territories. A system for assessing the condition of reclaimed soils is proposed, which aims to improvement of information about their potential at all stages of use in oil and gas production activities.
