The sources of information for the collection of research material for the 1st stage of the scientific study were: the regulatory and legal framework of Ukraine, sub-legal normative acts, normative and legal acts of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Ukraine regarding the prevention and counteraction of gender-based violence in the security and defense sector; international legal standards and policies of the UN and NATO on preventing and countering gender-based violence in the security and defense sector; domestic and foreign literary sources, Internet materials and other sources on issues of the researched field; materials of conferences, round tables, seminars and other scientific events devoted to research problems. The results of the 1st stage of the study are aimed at improving the legislation that regulates the activities of the bodies of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Ukraine regarding the prevention and counteraction of gender-based violence in the security and defense sector.
