The purpose of the research is to generalize and improve the existing methods of expert research, to develop an optimal research scheme for establishing the condition of trees, to determine the degree of wood destruction, which allows to establish the cause of the tree falling. Research methods - microscopy (MBS-9 stereomicroscope, Amplival optical microscope, raster (scanning) electronic microscope), collection, analysis of statistical data, generalization and systematization of the obtained data, synthesis and algorithmization of information data. Theoretical and practical results – development of the methodology of expert research on the condition of trees in connection with their fall. The development is intended for experts of forensic institutions, workers of the judicial and investigative apparatus.
