The purpose of the work is to develop the methodology of a complex transport-pathological and forensic medical examination to identify persons who were in the passenger car at the time of the accident. The research methods are analytical with subsequent generalization, visual and comparative with imaginary comparison, experimental with consideration of transport-traceological and forensic-medical data, grapho-analytical. Theoretical and practical results – the development of the methodology of complex transport-track and forensic medical expertise, which will detail the algorithm of expert research to establish the person who was behind the wheel of a passenger car, which will allow the commission of forensic experts to optimize the research process and shorten its execution time and in most cases to come to categorical conclusions, which in turn will in the future enable the auto technician expert to provide, from a technical point of view, an assessment of the actions of a specific person (established by a commission of experts during comprehensive investigations), who was objectively behind the wheel of a passenger car on the moment of a traffic accident (hereinafter referred to as an accident) in accordance with the requirements of the "Traffic Rules of Ukraine" (hereinafter referred to as the Traffic Rules of Ukraine).
