The object of study is electromechanical processes in PS with different types of generators when operating offline and grid connected. The scientific novelty of the results obtained is the further development of the method of the master generator (MG) to control autonomous power systems with parallel operating generators. The development of the MG method has allowed the development of PS control algorithms with different types of generators in the autonomous mode of operation, which ensures energy efficient operation of such systems and improving the quality of transitional processes. Practical novelty has a developed simulation model of a hydraulic PS, which contains two hydraulic units with different types of generators and regulated dump load (RDL) and which allows to investigate electromechanical processes in the system and to test and adjust the design algorithms. This allows you to reduce the development and adjustment of electromechanical equipment of low -power hydraulic ECs (up to 10 MW). Implementation. The simulation model of the hydraulic PS, which contains two hydraulic units with different types of generators and RDL, which allows to investigate electromechanical processes in the system and to test and adjust the algorithms of system control, when implemented at the design stage will reduce the time of the development and adjustment of electromechanical equipment of low -power hydraulic PSs (up to 10 MW) and to provide further energy efficient operation of such PSs.
