Reviewing of literature sources on the influence of mineral powder on the asphalt concrete properties was performed, including the following: regarding the influence of the processes of interaction of bitumen with mineral materials on the strength and durability of asphalt concrete; regarding the structure and properties of bitumen in thin layers on the surface of mineral materials; regarding the influence of the type of mineral material and its size on the thickness of bituminous films; regarding the absorption of bitumen components by the mineral material; regarding the influence of a freshly formed mineral surface on the interaction with bitumen; regarding the influence of the interaction of mineral material and bitumen on the water resistance of asphalt concrete. The influence of fillers made of limestone, fly ash, quartzite and granite on the volumetric properties of asphalt concrete (average density, water saturation, residual porosity, porosity of the mineral part, average density of the mineral part, number of pores filled with binder), mechanical properties of asphalt concrete ( strength at temperatures of 20 °С and 50 °С), as well as their weatherability (long-term water resistance factor and frost resistance factor) were determined.
