During 2018-2020, the staff of the department carried out scientific work on the specified state budget research topic. The object of the research is social and cultural-historical processes in the southwestern regions of Ukraine (XIX - beginning of XXI centuries). The subject of the study is the narrative essence of the historical retrospective of socio-political, cultural, spiritual-religious, linguistic-literary, linguistic-educational processes and other components of Ukrainian humanitarianism, cultural-national policy of the state, transformations and mutual influences, conditions, modernizations of today. The chronological limits of scientific work cover the period from the 19th century. to the beginning of the XXI century. The territorial boundaries of the scientific research cover the southwestern regions of Ukraine. Approbation of the scientific work and published generalizations and theorizations of the specified problems are reflected in Appendix A (Table) to the report on the department's R&D for 2018-2020.
