The high resistance of studied Crambe species to salt stress (200 mM NaCl in the medium) on early stages of plant development was shown. The relative tolerance of plants to salt stress (300 mM NaCl in the medium) with a significant delay in the growth and development of plantlets and underground parts of plants has been established. A comparative analysis of morphological parameters of the three selected species was performed and the highest resistance of C. maritima to salt stress conditions was determined. The results obtained using the LTR dye showed the induction of autophagy and the maximum level of formation of autophagosomes in plant root cells on the 6th day of cultivation under stress conditions and then a gradual decrease in their number on the 9th day of cultivation which indicates certain adaptive changes to salinity. Essential fatty acids content estimatin during first weeks of growth under salt stress conditions allowed to confirme the tolerance to the high salinity (modulated with the addition of 200 mM NaCl to the medium) for C. maritima and possible tolerance to short term salt stress for C.aspera.
