The object of study is Barrier coatings of materials to heterogeneous reactions of isotopic exchange of tritium. The purpose of scientific research is to develop methods for creating barrier coatings to heterogeneous reactions of isotopic exchange of tritium with the surfaces of components and objects of industrial premises in order to reduce the equilibrium concentration of tritium oxides in the air. The relevance of the work lies in the fact that its results can be used in activities related to the application of measures aimed at reducing the equilibrium concentration of tritium oxides in the air of the production premises in order to reduce the radiation impact on personnel and the environment. The practical significance of the presented studies lies in the possibility of creating effective methods for decontamination of contaminated surfaces with tritium and their protection by barrier coatings. An experimental method has been developed to studythe permeability of tritium through metal membranes installed in the chamber-flange. The permeability of tritium through the tungsten and vanadium films obtained by the method of vacuum-arc discharge in the temperature range up to 293-473 K was investigated. Research method – theoretical calculations and experimental research. According to the results of the first stage of the research, 1 article was published, 2 reports were made at conferences. The results of the research can be used by scientists and engineers engaged in the development of new technological methods of decontamination. Predictive assumptions about the development of the object of study – the results of theoretical and experimental research can become a fundamental basis for the creation of technologies aimed at reducing the radiation impact of tritium on personnel and the environment. Sphere of application – Nuclear physics and energy.
