Registration Date 19-12-2022 Organization Kyiv National University of Construction and Architecture popup.description2 As a result of the implementation of the research work, a comprehensive approach to the development of effective methods of protection of reinforced concrete marine structures by inhibiting the transport of aggressive SO42- and Cl- ions with mineral binders, used as a concrete base and a protective coating, was proposed. The fundamental possibility of counteracting the transport of aggressive SO42- and Cl- ions during the internal protection of concrete by adjusting the material composition of Portland cement is shown. Control of the transport properties of concrete with respect to the specified ions is ensured both due to their chemisorption and chemical binding by the directionally formed mineral binding hydrate phases in the matrices (gel phases, AFm phases and zeolite-like alkaline hydroaluminosilicates), and occlusion in the structure of the zeolite-containing additive. The revealed mechanism of binding of ions in the composition of hardening products was implemented during the development of measures for external protection. Optimizing the ratio of oxides (SiO2/Al2O3 = 4...5; K2O/(Na2O+K2O) = 0.15...0.3) of alkaline aluminosilicate binder as a coating matrix for external protection of concrete, as well as its modification with calcium-containing and other additives causes the possibility of forming waterproof and corrosion-resistant zeolite-like matrices at normal temperatures (20±2 oС). The binding of SO42- and Cl- of sea water by chemisorption by synthesized zeolite-like solidification products will determine the prospects of using the developed binder as the basis of a protective coating to increase the service life of marine reinforced concrete structures.
