The purpose of the study is to substantiate certain aspects of the practical implementation of the FSC national standard of the forestry management system, in particular the feasibility of limited introduction of the introduced red oak species into forest plantations. Work methods are general scientific methods of cognition (systemic approach, induction and deduction, comparison, tabular-graphic method, cause-and-effect relationships, logical generalization) and special methods of researching biological phenomena and forestry objects (taxation, silviculture, typology). The scientific novelty of the conducted research consists in identifying the advantages and disadvantages of the introduction of red oak into forest plantations, defining a list of measures to limit and control the invasive impact of this species of woody plants, updating data on the scale of the introduction of red oak in Ukraine.
