To achieve the goal, the following main tasks were performed: the history of construction and operation of the complex of buildings, architectural and structural features were studied, and an examination of the condition of the buildings and their parts, in particular foundations, inter-floor structures, basements and attics, was carried out, as well as a number of practical recommendations for achieving increasing the area of working premises without changing the external dimensions of buildings and preserving the peculiarities of their architectural style and structural features. The main problem of carrying out capital repairs is to achieve the requirements defined by the technical task regarding the improvement of engineering networks, communication systems to ensure modern requirements of technical operation without significant changes in appearance. At the same time, high standards of staff working conditions and compliance with the requirements of strength and reliability of operation in the next period of the object's life cycle must be achieved. Given the subordination of the buildings of the SBU, information about the details of the scientific project work and its practical implementation had a small scope of distribution and was not reported to a wide circle of the scientific community, including at international conferences. Materials of scientific project work were not published. Based on the results of the generalization of scientific and project work on capital repairs, proposals were formulated for the development of industry building standards in the next two years.
